Our youth rowing programs encompass everything from learning how to row in both team boats and individual sculling shells, to competing against other junior crews in the region. We welcome both middle school youth, starting from grade 7, up through high school youth. Any age can start our learn to row programs at any time. There are no size or skill restrictions. No tryouts, and no rejections of participants based on ability. All are welcome and encouraged to give it a try.
FRIDAY AUGUST 31
NORTHAMPTON COMMUNITY BOATHOUSE
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! CHECK IT OUT!
On Friday August 31st from 3:30-6pm NCR invites all kids from 7th grade and up to come out and give rowing a try. You'll be introduced to the equipment, meet the coaches, have the opportunity to talk with current team members, and learn the basics of the rowing stroke. This makes it easier to decide if you want to join the team or not. Everyone is welcome, there are no tryouts and no one is cut from the team.
PARENTS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.
Parents who attend this event will have the opportunity to talk with current rowing parents to learn more about what is involved and how this sport has changed their children's lives in more ways than one.
This is a free event. By registering we are better able to plan for your visit.
