2016 Spring Season
New Director of Programs Todd Gocken led several recruiting and outreach sessions in the month of February. The effort resulted in 44 youth rowers and 30 adults registering for the Indoor Spring Training session at All-Sport Soccer Arena. Our thanks to Bill Kalmakis and his staff for allowing us use of the All-Sport facility for our annual Indoor Spring Training. Hamp Crew’s Youth teams will transition to outdoor practices on Monday, March 28. Adult Intermediate and Competitive rowers will begin Monday, April 4; getting an extra week of rowing this year in celebration of the warm weather.
Northampton Community Rowing welcomes Sandra Bucan as coach of the adult intermediate and competitive rowing teams, and assistant coach for the youth teams. Sandra is former member of the Serbian National Rowing Team and is currently working as an assistant head coach of the Women’s Rowing Program at Amherst College.
